Campus Action Plan
The Campus Action Plan (CAP) is a program to assist university students in their efforts to support centre-right ideas on campuses around Australia.
The CAP provides students with all of the assistance they need to run successful campaigns.
Pre-existing campaign templates are available for various events throughout the year that can be celebrated by conservative students. Celebrating events such as ‘Dismissal Day’ not only upsets the often uncontested leftist ideologies on campuses, but also serves as an opportunity to educate other students about the true course of history and the dangers of collectivist policies.
Students can also access a library of valuable information that will help ensure success in issues based campaigns and student elections.
"The skills that I gained through participating in the Campus Action Plan helped me lead a successful election campaign at university"
Robert, Adelaide
Conservative students can access a wealth of information free of charge through the CAP which gives them advice, tips and strategies in areas such as:
- Organising a protest;
- Developing effective signs and posters;
- Attracting media attention;
- Managing media enquiries;
- Campaign fundraising; and
- Leading a political campaign on campus.
The CAP not only supports students, but welcomes their participation and input into future campaigns concepts.
Student campaign ideas, designs, strategies and campus experiences are incredibly important in our efforts to ensure that we can provide the best possible resources to students. The CAP offers incentives for new and innovative ideas to further educate university students about the philosophies and accurate history of conservatism on campuses.
The CAP is constantly working towards developing more material and information for students to ensure that any action that they lead on campus is successful.
Conservative Leadership Foundation activists launched a campaign to recognise and celebrate “Human Achievement Hour” in March 2010.
During Human Achievement Hour, CLF activists encouraged people around the world to recognise the incredible accomplishments of the human race by going about their normal business during the symbolic Earth Hour campaign.
By going to the cinema, driving their car, enjoying a cold drink or cooking a meal, Human Achievement Hour participants were acknowledging the innovations that have brought unprecedented health and prosperity to billions of people.Originally conceived by the Competitive Enterprise Institute in 2009, Human Achievement Hour was implemented in Australia by the CLF and attracted widespread national and international media attention.
Human Achievement Hour achieved national and international print, radio and television coverage featuring CLF activists.
The campaign was considered significant enough to be catalogued by the National Archives of Australia for making a 'cultural and social impact on Australia'.
